WALBRZYCH SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE

The Zone is located in the Wałbrzych region, and covers an area of 473.8034 ha. It consists of 4 Sub-Zones: Wałbrzych, Nowa Ruda, Dzierżoniów, and Kłodzko.
Wałbrzych Sub-Zone
Area: 224.3 ha

The Zone is about 7 km from the city centre, directly next to a railway station, and about 1 km away from the Warsaw/Zgorzelec road. It is also 60 km from the International Airport in Wroc3aw, and 12 km away from the airstrip at Owiebodzice. The area is not built up, and only partly developed in terms of infrastructure, but access to all utilities is available. The nearest border crossings are at: Kudowa S3one (90 km), Golinsk/Mezimesti (17 km), Zgorzelec (120 km).
Dzierżoniów Sub-Zone
Area: 47.5 ha

The Sub-Zone is about 2 km from the town centre, 0.5 km away from the national route 383, and 1.5 km away from the railway. It is 60 km from the International Airport at Wrocław. The area is partly developed in terms of buildings and infrastructure. Distances from the various border crossings are as follows: Tłumaczów (30 km, passenger crossing only), Kudowa Słone (60 km), Zgorzelec (120 km).
Kłodzko Sub-Zone
Area: 19.4 ha
The Sub-Zone is 2 km from the town centre, and directly next to the Prague-Kudovo-Wroc3aw international route. It is 85 km from the International Airport in Wroc3aw. The Zone is partly developed in terms of buildings (office and industrial) and infrastructure. Proximity to border crossings is as follows: T3umaczów (27 km, passenger crossing only), Kudowa S3one (40 km), Boboszów (40 km).

Nowa Ruda Sub-Zone
Area: 53.7 ha
The Sub-Zone divides into 3 areas:
Area I - 3 km from the Town Centre
Area II - 1 km from the Town Centre
Area III - 4 km from the Town Centre
The Sub-Zone as a whole is 0.5 km from the national route, and 5 km from the railway, as well as 70 km from the International Airport at Wroc3aw. Areas I and III are partly built up and equipped with infrastructure, area II is totally greenfield. All utilities may be provided. Access to border crossings is as follows: T3umaczów (12 km, passenger border crossing), Kudowa S3one (50 km).
Tax reliefs
Throughout the next 20 years, the Zone will offer the following attractive reliefs and exemptions to business investing in production facilities in the Zone.

Total income tax exemption on investments of 500,000 Euro and over for the first ten years of the Zone's existence and 50% thereafter, for the remainder of the Zone's lifespan. Alternatively, a 20% relief on income tax is available for every 10 persons employed, however, this relief cannot be less than 20% or greater than 100% in the month the income is earned.

Businesses not qualifying for income tax relief may deduct expenditure on intangible and legal assets as costs of earnings, and may use higher depreciation on fixed assets.
